FAQ

The questions we hear most.

Straight answers about response times, insurance, crews, mold, and coverage. If your situation isn't here, a real person answers 24/7 at 1-800-753-2101.

Emergency response

When you call, what happens?

How quickly can you actually get here?

Crews are on standby 24/7. Across Miami-Dade and Broward our average on-site time is 45 minutes from the moment you call. Outside the dense metro we typically hit 60-90 minutes depending on weather.

Is a real person answering at 3 a.m.?

Yes. No phone tree, no callback queue. The person who picks up captures the loss details and dispatches a crew on the same call, any hour, any day of the year.

What should I do while the crew is on the way?

Stay safe first. If water is involved, shut off the source if you can reach it safely and keep people away from standing water near outlets or appliances. After smoke or fire, keep the HVAC off so soot doesn't circulate. Photos help your claim, but don't move debris or start cleanup. Our crew documents everything when they arrive.

Do you handle commercial properties too?

Yes. Homes, condos, offices, retail, and industrial spaces. Commercial losses get the same response window, plus documentation built for commercial policies and business-interruption claims.

Insurance & cost

Paying for it, without the runaround.

Do you bill my insurance directly?

Yes. We document the loss to industry standards, send the file straight to your adjuster, and bill the carrier directly when your policy allows it. You're not out of pocket on the back-and-forth.

How much does an estimate cost?

Nothing. Estimates are free across every city we serve, with no obligation. You get a clear written scope before any work starts.

Will you deal with my adjuster for me?

We document the loss with photos, moisture readings, and itemized scopes in the format adjusters expect, then file directly with them. You stay in the loop without managing the paperwork yourself.

What if the damage isn't covered, or I don't have insurance?

You still get the free estimate and a clear scope up front, so you know the full cost before deciding anything. No surprises mid-job.

Crews & process

Who shows up, and how the work goes.

Are your crews actually certified?

Our restoration technicians hold IICRC certifications across water damage restoration, fire & smoke restoration, and applied microbial remediation. Allstate Restoration is a licensed Florida contractor.

Who does the work, your employees or subcontractors?

The same crew that mitigates the damage is the same crew that demos, rebuilds, and signs the final walkthrough. No subcontractor handoffs mid-job, and one company accountable from the first call to the last inspection.

How long does drying and restoration take?

Structural drying typically runs 3 to 5 days with daily moisture monitoring, and we don't pull equipment until the readings say dry. Rebuild time depends on the scope, which is laid out in your written estimate before work starts.

Do I need to move out during the work?

Usually not. We contain the work area with barriers and negative air pressure so the rest of the home stays livable. For larger losses we'll tell you honestly if a temporary relocation makes sense, and document it for your policy's loss-of-use coverage.

Mold & air quality

Mold, moisture, and what's in the air.

What if mold comes back after remediation?

Real remediation kills the source: moisture and contaminated material, not just the visible spores. We verify with post-remediation testing. If mold returns from a documented work area, we come back at no additional charge.

I smell something musty but don't see mold. Now what?

That smell is usually moisture trapped somewhere you can't see: behind drywall, under flooring, inside an AC handler. We run moisture mapping and air sampling to find the source before anything gets opened up.

Can you dry it in place, or does everything get demolished?

Moisture mapping tells us what's salvageable. Structural drying saves materials wherever the readings support it. We only remove what's genuinely compromised, and we document why.

Is the mold in my home a health risk?

It depends on the type, the extent, and who's living there. Rather than guess, we test. Air sampling and lab results tell you exactly what you're dealing with, and containment keeps it from spreading while we work.

Coverage area

Where we work.

Do you work outside Miami?

We work across 50+ Florida cities, from Key West and Naples up through Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Pensacola. Anywhere in the state, we mobilize a crew.

Where do crews dispatch from?

Dispatch runs around the clock from our Hialeah headquarters. That's why Miami-Dade and Broward see our fastest response times, with statewide mobilization for everywhere else.

How do I schedule non-emergency work?

Call or send the contact form. During business hours we respond within the hour, and we'll set an assessment time that works around your schedule.
